Uaai
Uaai heavy-duty well wagon
U — Special purpose
Depressed-centre heavy-lift wagon. The well lowers the load to clear structures a normal deck never could — abnormal-load movements are planned path by path.

How many fit in a train
The binding limit is usually the shortest passing loop on the route, not the locomotive.
- European norm
- 19 wagons
- 550 m train · 3420 t payload

Worked example.3600 t needs 20 × Uaai, which is 105% of a 550 m train (19 wagons). That is enough to justify running a block train: it goes origin to destination without being marshalled, so it avoids the 1–4 days of yard dwell wagonload adds, and the per-tonne rate is lower because the path and traction are spread over a full train.
Loading gauge clearance
Whether a load clears the tunnels and bridges, on this wagon's 520 mm deck. This is not track gauge — see the track gauge checker for whether the wheels can run on a given network.

Margins in millimetres. A load clearing by less than 50 mm needs the operator to confirm the specific path before booking.
